BC RCMP have released pictures of a suspect who is believed to be involved in a string of multiple crimes across the Southern Interior.
The photos are from the Merritt area, and the man is believed to have been trying to use counterfeit money in Merritt and Kamloops.
The suspect is a Caucasian man, in his mid-20’s to mid-30’s. Police believe he’s about 5’6″ tall, with a medium build, brown hair, some facial hair, and a chipped right upper tooth.
He was also seen wearing jeans, a two-tone grey and black jacket, a black baseball cap with a white diamond shaped logo and a sticker still attached to the outer brim.
Investigators in West Kelowna have also released a picture of the suspect’s Dodge Ram D-150 pickup truck that police are continuing to search for.
“The BC RCMP wish to thank the public for their tips, as possible sightings have been reported to police and are being followed up on by the police of jurisdiction,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “I’d like to remind the general public not to approach the suspect vehicle or any of its occupants if spotted in your community.”
If you have information that could help police identify the suspect or locate the vehicle, police say to call your local RCMP office or Crimestoppers.
