Terrace RCMP are appealing for dash cam footage after the suspicious death of a Kamloops man early on Sunday.
Police responded to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian on Highway 16 East at 1:45 a.m., but were unable to find the man.
Officers then say around 5 a.m, they responded to another report where they found an unresponsive man lying on a road parallel to Highway 16 around 5 a.m. He’s been identified as Blaine Frisk of Kamloops, and was taken to hospital where he died hours later.
“He is the same man from the call received around 1:45 a.m.,” said RCMP spokeswoman Const. Crystal Evelyn, who did not reveal a cause of death.
Mounties are asking people with dash cam footage or information that could help their investigation to come forward.
“[Anyone who has] dash camera footage of Hwy 16 and its parallel roads between midnight and 5 am, along the strip between Hwy 37 and the Thornhill sign; had any contact with Frisk after 1 am; or have more information about the night’s events involving Frisk,” said Cst. Evelyn.
People are called to call 250-638-7400 and reference file 19-12330, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
