The new rookie Conservative MP in the Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon says he has plans to set up a mobile constituency office.
“In Ashcroft especially and Lillooet, Cache Creek, there are a lot of senior citizens in those towns and I want to make sure that they get the same type of services that people in Abbotsford and Mission and Agassiz receive,” said Brad Vis, on NL Newsday.
Vis lost in the riding four years ago to Liberal Jati Sidhu, but he was able to turn the tables this time around.
“As I’ve already shared with some of the regional officials up in the north of the riding, is that I will be scheduling monthly visits for my staff to be present at a set location in the many communities in my riding,” Vis added.
“They’ll be receiving exactly the same services that someone would receive out of my Mission office.”
The riding of Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon is about 21,800 square kilometres in size, which is slightly smaller than the country of Belize.
