Barriere RCMP say a Kamloops woman is in custody after she allegedly breached the conditions of her release.
Cpl. Rob Welsman says 48-year-old Bridgette Poore, had returned to Barriere, despite being told to not be within 10 kilometres of the community.
“We received information on November 13 that she was back in the community of Barriere, so we responded and located her at a residence on Yard Road the following day,” he said.
“We had to utilize a warrant to enter the home, but she was arrested and taken into custody.”
Welsman says Poore has been formally charged with one count of breach of probation.
“There were a number of different charges that Miss Poore received probation conditions for in August, and my understanding is that was what led to the condition that she not be within the community of Barriere, which is the condition that we were enforcing back on Nov. 13 and 14,” Welsman added.
She is in police custody ahead of her next court appearance on Nov. 25.
