Update – 

Avalanche control work at Rogers Pass has been completed for the day and Drive BC says the road is now fully open to traffic in both directions.

You can expect hour long delays on Highway 1 in both directions between the Rogers Pass Summit and Beaver Valley Road this afternoon.

Drive BC says its to allow avalanche control work to takle place today. There is no detour available through the area.

The work is expected to wrap up around 4 pm today.
