Original: Police are asking for help to find a truck, trailer and excavator stolen from a property in the Mount Paul Industrial Park.
The Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP says at 3 a.m. today, a white Ford F-350 dump truck with a trailer attached, carrying a black and white John Deere D35 excavator, was nabbed from Artistic Sign Service property, at 745 Sarcee Street East. McCaskill Mechanical rents space on the lot, where the truck was stolen.
The truck says McCaskill Mechanical in red and black letters on the sides, and it was last seen heading south on the Yellowhead Highway past Shuswap Road after being stolen, police say.
Owner Blair McCaskill tells NL News the entire unit is worth at least $100,000.
“They were parked in the yard, and I locked the compound on the reserve there, and I guess somehow they got over the fence, drove the thing backwards through the gate and got away.”
The truck had a B.C. license plate of JR-5705 and the trailer had a B.C. plate of 9096-9D.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers.
