A Quesnel man who was reported missing on New Year’s Day was found dead in his vehicle yesterday in Kamloops.
North District RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says Malcolm McLaughlin’s vehicle was found on Tranquille Road.
“All evidence at this time suggests he was involved in a single vehicle collision, and there is nothing suspicious regarding the crash,” she told NL.
“His dog Chico was found alive and uninjured, and was taken to a local animal hospital where arrangements will be made to get him back to Mr. McLaughlin’s family.”
Saunderson says the B.C. Coroners Service will conduct an investigation, adding police don’t expect to release any further information.
