Kamloops RCMP confirm that no one has been hurt after a truck crashed through the front window of a house in Aberdeen.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says neither impairment nor distracted driving were factors in the crash, which happened just after 12 p.m. at 688 Fleming Drive.
“It appears just to be driver error. He was tested for impairment. As far as we know it’s just driver error.”
She says an icy driveway may have been a factor.
“Today’s weather lends itself to icy conditions, and it is a challenging driveway from what I understand. It’s very steep and it’s got a curve to it.”
Shelkie says the white Toyota Tacoma will stay lodged into the home’s living room until a structural assessment is done on the home, to make sure it’s safe to pull the truck out.
“As always, drive carefully, be cautious when you’re driving. Just remember that accidents can happen while you’re driving just as they can on the road.”
