The Managing Director at Western Canada Theatre says any concerns about having liquor at the Sagebrush Theatre which is attached to a school are unfounded.
Speaking on NL Newsday, Evan Klassen says Sagebrush Theatre has its own entrance, and it’s also not directly connected to South Kamloops Secondary school.
“It has its own independent alarm system. Any product that’s in the building is going to be kept under a separate secured location so there’s going to be a measure taken to ensure that the product is safe as well,” he said.
And he says they’re hoping to keep the pricing on the liquor ‘really flexible.’
“We want to keep it of course as an affordable addition to people that are already spending money coming to an arts event like Western Canada Theatre or the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra,” noted Klassen.
He previously told NL News that Western Canada Theatre is hoping to have the liquor license in place by April.
