A three-year agreement between Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and the TRU Faculty Association (TRUFA) has been ratified.

The agreement is retroactive to April 1, 2019, and was first announced at the end of January. It has a mandate to focus on improving services for people and ensuring fair and affordable compensation, according to the province.

The tentative agreement covers about 900 faculty members represented by the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators Local 2 who work at the two main campuses, in Kamloops and Williams Lake, as faculty instructors, counsellors, librarians and instructional support.

The new deal expires on March 31, 2022.
