The Kamloops Corryn Brown Rink
In a game of steals, Corryn Brown and her Kamloops rink made the most of it, beating Nova Scotia 5-4 this morning in Moose Jaw.
A key steal of one in the eighth end put Brown up 5-2 heading into the ninth. Nova Scotia’s Mary-Anne Arsenault scored one in the ninth giving Brown the hammer coming home in the final end.
The Brown rink advances to the championship round at the Scotties after finishing fourth in Pool B. However, with a 4-3 record, they don’t have a lot of margin for error moving forward.
She will face off against Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson at 10:30 a.m. today, Northern Ontario Krista McCarville at 4:30 p.m. today, then Team Canada’s Chelsea Carey at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, and then either Saskatchewan’s Robyn Silvernagle at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow.
