The new Marshalls store at Aberdeen Mall will be opening its doors on March 10.

A grand opening for the new 18,000 square foot store located in part of the space formerly leased by Sears, is scheduled for 9 a.m. that day.

“We are excited to launch the new Marshalls location in Kamloops,” said Libby Stunt, a spokesperson with Marshalls Canada. “We know that our customers are smart shoppers who seek stylish merchandise and we’re excited to provide them with incredible deals on high-quality, in-season items from the brands they know and love.”

As part of the opening, Marshalls will donate $5,000 to the Kamloops Y Women’s Emergency Shelter, part of their Find Your Stride initiative.

“At Marshalls, we are dedicated to helping vulnerable women achieve economic independence so that they and their families can thrive in life,” Stunt added.

“Supporting women and their families in the neighbourhoods where our stores are located is integral to Marshalls’ business and helps foster a sense of community for both our associates and customers alike.”

Regular store hours will be Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Also coming to the former Sears space is an Old Navy clothing store and a Fresh Street Market grocery story.
