Bryce Herman is back in his role as the president of the North Shore Business Improvement Association (NSBIA) following a seven month hiatus.
On the NL Morning News, Herman says he was elected president after he took on a new role as the Director of Gaming Revenues for the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA, based out of the John Tod Centre.
“It’s no secret that they are in a position where you know they are working to achieve some additional funds to support them as they’ve gone through some tight times over the last couple of years, ” Herman said. “So my role has expanded beyond just the Dream Home and it’s allowed me to now represent them on that board.”
Herman says despite the setback after he was let go from his old job at Chances Casino, he is ready to pick up where he left off. A lawsuit between Herman and his former employer was settled
“A lot of things that we started several months ago are moving ahead and some additional things that have been added in as well,” he said. “Among them, we’re working with the city on a re-write of the North Shore community plan which we are deeply involved in.”
“We’ve got a lot of documentation done, so it’s looking really good.”
Other such projects he says includes the Tranquille Road improvements, airport improvements, and the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project.
Andrew Watson of No Limits Fitness and Supplement King – who replaced Herman as President during his absence – has moved into a past-president role with the NSBIA.
