The new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in Ashcroft, Anne Yanciw, just six months after stepping into the position.
In a statement, Ashcroft Mayor Barbara Roden says Anne Yanciw resigned, yesterday March 3.
“While Ms. Yanciw has enjoyed her time with the Village, she has decided to pursue other professional interests,” Roden said, in a statement. “The Village wishes her well and thanks her for her service.”
The reasons for Yanciw’s departure isn’t immediately clear, but she joined the village office in September 2019. She had previously worked as a CAO in both Smithers and Valemount.
“Deputy Corporate Officer Daniela Dyck has been appointed Interim CAO,” Roden noted. “Mayor and council look forward to working with her on the many projects and initiatives currently underway.”
Yanciw replaced Michelle Allen as the Ashcroft CAO. Allen retired last year after working for the village for the past 34 years, 11 of them as the CAO.
