A suspected drunk driver crashed into his own home on the North Shore last night in Kamloops.
Corporal Jodi Shelkie says the incident happened at about 5:45 p.m. when the driver drove across the lawn and hit the home, in the 200-block of Evans Avenue.
“The driver was suspected of having been impaired while he was driving. And at that time, a 90-day driving prohibition was issued and his vehicle was impounded at the same time. There were no injuries to the driver, and no injuries to anyone inside the residence.”
Shelkie says the driver was a renter at the home, and says there was only minor damage to the property.
She says police strongly recommend that people don’t drink and drive.
