
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kamloops RCMP say the front counters at both the Battle Street Detachment and the North Shore Community Policing Office are open and offering full services.
However, police are asking people to call 250-828-3000, if possible, instead of visiting either location in person.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police also are advising against being fingerprinted for civil purposes, unless it is urgent.
She is reminding people to use the Online Reporting Tool to report crimes with no suspects or witnesses and no police presence is required.
That service was launched in November and includes crimes like damage or mischief to property under $5,000, theft under $5,000, and theft from a vehicle under $5,000.
