
The BC Coroners Service has ruled the death of Richard Jules as undetermined.
Jules had been missing for more than two months before his skull was found in a field on Feb. 1, on Salish Road on Tk’emlúps land.
The report into his death did give new details on the circumstances.
It says the day he died was Nov. 25.
The report says Jules had been at a firepit with friends on Nov. 24, according purchase receipts included in the RCMP missing person investigation. It says Jules had fallen asleep by the fire overnight.
The next day, the family of Jules went to his house and he wasn’t there, and he was officially reported missing two days after that, on Nov. 27.
When his skull was found, Kamloops RCMP said there had been no evidence of foul play, and the coroner’s report says there was also no evidence of lethal trauma or disease.
Jules had worked for the Tk’emlúps Indian Band since 1996 before his passing.
