Mounties in Kamloops are looking for a suspect after a “gun pointing incident” on Lorne Street East earlier today.
RCMP say they were called to a home on that street just after 8:30 a.m. to a report of someone pointing a gun. Further details are unclear, but police were still at the home investigating just after 5 p.m.
Meantime, police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who they believe was at the scene when they were called.
Kamloops resident Michael George Luttman, 36, is wanted for previous charges of uttering threats, possession of a loaded firearm, careless storage of a firearm, extortion, identity fraud, obstructing police and several other offenses.
Police are asking anyone who sees Luttman to not approach him and to call the local RCMP detachment at 250-838-3000, or to call 911.
