B.C. top doctor says there have been another 92 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province, for a total of 884 cases so far.
Dr. Bonnie Henry says 77 of those cases are now in the Interior Health area, an increase of seven cases from Friday.
“We know that people who have been exposed in the past two weeks will begin to get sick,” she said on Saturday, urging people to continue to stay isolated from one another to prevent the spread of the virus.
Henry and B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix want people to live in a ‘virtual world’ as much as possible.
There are 81 people in hospital with COVID-19, 52 in ICU, said Dr. Henry, who announced one additional death in the Vancouver Coastal Health area, bringing the total number of deaths in B.C. to 17.
And she says 396 people in the province have now recovered from COVID-19.
