The B.C. government is announcing 34 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours as well as two deaths, which were both in the Lower Mainland.
There have now been 50 deaths and 1,370 confirmed cases of the virus in B.C.
The number of cases in the Interior Health Authority is still at 130, and only two cases have been reported in this region in the past five days.
Province-wide, hospitalizations are down slightly, once again, to 132 people in hospital with COVID-19. While many jurisdictions in North America are seeing that number rise, that’s the lowest total in B.C. in the past 10 days.
There, are however, 68 people in critical care as of today, which is up from 61 yesterday.
More to come.
