Kamloops RCMP are investigating after finding the body of a man in the North Thompson River, near the Dunes Golf Course in Westsyde.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Sascha Fesenko says the man has been identified as 37-year-old Brandon Thomas Malkinson.

“At this point in the investigation there is nothing to indicate that foul play is suspected,” Fesenko said. “The police are attempting to determine Malkinson’s whereabouts prior to being located in the river and who he may have been with.”

Police, firefighters, and the BC Coroners Service were all on scene today.

Anyone who was in contact with Malkinson, or has any information, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
