The Wendy’s on the Kamloops North Shore is a total write-off after an overnight fire.
Kamloops Fire and Rescue responded around 1:45 a.m. today to reports of heavy black smoke at the restaurant located at the intersection of Fortune Drive and Tranquille Road.
“When crews arrived on scene, they could see heavy black smoke inside the building,” said Platoon Captain Sheldon Guerin.
“At that time they attempted an interior attack, but because the inside of the building was too hot and too smoky, they exited the building and they transitioned to an exterior attack.”
Guerin said investigators will be on the scene today to try and figure out what caused the fire.
There wasn’t anyone inside the building at the time of the fire.
