A travel trailer has gone up in flames on a property on Tk’emlups land.

The fire was called in just before 5:30 p.m., which is on a property in the 800-block of East Shuswap Road.

Flames could be seen for about half an hour and smoke as visible across most of Kamloops, and highly visible from Highway 1 between Dallas and Valleyview across the South Thompson River.

The RV was unoccupied. It’s unclear right now what started the fire.

As of 6 p.m., fire, police, ambulance and BC Hydro crews were still on scene.
