If you were hoping to buy a ticket to this year’s Kamloops Y Dream Home lottery, you’re out of luck.
Speaking on the NL Morning News, Spokesperson Bryce Herman says it was another record year.
“The community has embraced this lottery it really is a local lottery. It gets great support and traction,” he said. “We’ve sold out the Dream Home Lottery again this year and in record time.”
“The draw won’t be until July the 8th and it will be at the Dream Home. And part of that is we want to make sure there is momentum running through all the way for your sponsors.”
He noted that based on the per day sales rate, this year set another record.
“So a complete sell out on the weekend and I think the other big story here is the first time we were ever able to sell the 50-50 tickets online,” he added.
The 50-50 jackpot has a cap of $200,000 and it currently sits at about $170,000.
As well he says there is one other campaign going on.
“We do have 15 tickets that will be given away free by our good friends at TD,” Herman added. “They purchased them in advance, and so on our social media platform we will be starting a campaign where we will be giving away tickets to people who like the page and so on.”
