
Graduating Kamloops Blazers defenceman Max Martin has signed a one-year pro contract with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League
In 57 games with the Blazers since his trade from the Prince Albert Raiders, Martin put up a career high 58 points (14 goals and 44 assists) which saw him ranked fifth among all WHL defencemen.
His 28 power play assists was also good for the league league among defencemen and second overall behind teammate Zane Franklin’s 32 assists.
Martin began his WHL career with the Prince George Cougars in 2015 and put up 164 points in 271 games. He also won the 2019 WHL Championship with Prince Albert.
