Starting Monday, there will be temporary changes to patient access at Royal Inland Hospital due to ongoing construction at the Patient Care tower project.
Interior Health says a section of the Upper Ring Road which connects Third Avenue to the RIH roundabout and patient drop off area will be closed to install a new water line and propane tank controls.
While work is taking place, the access for patient drop-off at the RIH roundabout will be via Fifth Avenue, with signs and traffic control flaggers directing vehicles to the drop-off area.
Workers will be present between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. however, the road will stay remain closed 24 hours a day until the work is completed on May 11.
There is no change in access to the public parkade at the Clinical Services Building or for vehicles that need to access oversize parking.
