The Kamloops Chamber Commerce is reaching out to it’s members as the province begins planning to reopen the economy.
They’re sending out a survey to all 700 members this week to take the pulse of the business community, and they want to hear from business owners, managers and team leaders.
The survey is a partnership between the Chamber help of Venture Kamloops, and both the North Shore and Downtown Business Improvement associations.
Executive Director of the Chamber, Acacia Pangilinin, said on the NL Morning News the survey will cover a wide variety of issues.
“We really want to know what business owners feel when it comes to reopening,” she said. “Do they think they’ll have the cash to do so? Are they going to be able to recruit their staff back? Do they think their customers or clients will have the money to be spending?”
“We really want to get a pulse check on how the business community in Kamloops is feeling, especially when we start to work with them on reopening and recovery. So, yeah, that’s who it’s intended for and we’re received really good response in the last few weeks so we’re hoping to receive a great response this time too.”
Pangilinin says the information gets shared with the provincial and federal governments and it’s important to hear from as many people as possible so they can advocate for their needs.
