A touching moment caught on tape in Kamloops, as a woman played violin at the memorial for Capt. Jenn Casey.
Eva Wright says she’s actually come most days to the Kamloops Airport since Sunday’s fatal crash, to play at the memorial.
“I play three songs. The first one is Near the Cross, the second is Amazing Grace, the third is Near my God to Thee.”
Many watched her play last night, and some shed tears.
Wright could barely hold back tears herself, as she explained why she’s coming to play.
She says she recently lost her mother as well.
“I have personally been grieving in my own life… Captain Jennifer Casey inspired me personally to come out from hiding. I usually stay away from the crowd but this time, the barrier is broken,” Wright says.
“Much more when I see the love of the people, the support. It’s just like overnight, and look at all this,” she said, while pointing at the ever-growing memorial along the fence line.
“You can feel the love of the people in this community, and I love Kamloops so much.”
Wright says Capt. Casey made an impact to everyone in the community and across Canada, and says she will never be forgotten.
