Fire crews were able to quickly knock down a blaze on someone’s deck at a home in Brock this afternoon.
Kamloops Fire Rescue platoon captain Darryl Cooper says crews were on scene within minutes of the fire, at 1102 13th Street. It broke out just after 2 p.m.
“There was flame on the patio, with some small extension to the bottom first-floor suite. Everybody was out of the building, no injuries. We did find a cat in the building on the first floor. The cat survived, we put it in a room where there was no smoke.”
Cooper says a fire investigator will be scene this afternoon to try and nail down an exact cause.
