The city manager in Kamloops is on leave after a medical incident during last week’s council meeting, according to the mayor.
Ken Christian was asked about the condition of the city’s top staffer David Trawin, who was absent from this week’s council meeting.
We don’t comment on health issues related to our employees. But I will say this, I’ve spoken with Mr. Trawin, he’s very grateful for the interest that the media and community have expressed good wishes for him, and he is currently on leave.”
Community and protective service director Byron McCorkell is the acting CAO until Trawin is able to return to work.
“All of the directors have certainly stepped up, and Kamloops is running on all cylinders. And we look forward to Mr. Trawin’s return when he’s available.”
