For the second time in less than three weeks, Kamloops RCMP are looking for suspects after a drive-by shooting on the North Shore.
It happened last night around 8:30 p.m. in the area of MacKenzie Avenue and Williams Street. Police don’t have a motive just yet as they say the house wasn’t known to them. They however don’t believe it was specifically targeted.
Police are looking for a Black SUV that was seen leaving the area, noting there were no injuries reported but a house did end up with a broken window.
The other incident was on June 26, where a vehicle parked at a home on Chestnut Avenue was hit by a bullet in what police called a random drive by shooting. There were no injuries but police say a family was inside the home when that shooting happened.
In the second incident, police note surveillance video shows the shot came from a white SUV, possibly a late 1990s Chevrolet Blazer with a black horizontal stripe along the side.
There is no indication that the two incidents are linked. However, if you have any information you’re asked to contact Kamloops RCMP or Crimestoppers.
