UPDATED:
The BC Wildfire Service says the Mara Hill wildfire is currently being held at 3.5 hectares.
It’s burning north of the Cinnamon Ridge compost facility, and the BCWS says there are 24 crew members responding with Kamloops Fire Rescue.
A cause has not yet been determined, but reports indicate the fire was started by a transformer that blew just before 3:30 p.m.
No structures are at risk.
