Interior Health has identified more places in Kelowna where people may have been exposed to COVID-19 this month.
It says anyone who visited Fossello’s clothing store at 565 Bernard Avenue either on July 18 or in between 10 a.m. and 12 noon on July 20 should self-monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.
This latest announcement comes two days after IHA warned of possible exposure at the Browns Socialhouse at 100-1544 Harvey Avenue on July 13 or between July 16 and 19.
These two locations add to four others in Kelowna – the Cactus Club restaurant on Water Street, Pace Spin Studio on Harvey Avenue, Discovery Bay Resort on Sunset Drive, and Boyce Gyro Beach Lodge on Lakeshore Road. You’ll find the latest public exposure information here.
Contact tracing is underway, and where possible, health officials will reach out directly to people who might have been exposed. People are asked to get tested if they begin to exhibit symptoms.
New data reveals 107 cases of COVID-19 in the Okanagan in the last two weeks. Around 80 cases are now linked to the Kelowna exposure, but health officials say over 1,000 people throughout B.C. are now self-isolating after they were exposed to the virus.
If you’re looking for a test, you’re asked to call your primary care provider or the closest Interior Health community testing and assessment centre.
