RCMP in Chase are once again asking for any information that could help explain the ‘unexplained’ disappearance of Shayne Murray Robinson ten years ago, in 2010.
Police say Robinson, an Edmonton native, was last heard from on July 23, 2010 and he was reported missing five days later. They say he lived in Celista at the time of his disappearance, but was in the process of moving to the Barriere area.
To help with the move, Robinson had borrowed his mother’s grey 2004 Dodge Ram four-door pickup truck with Alberta licence plate YND 082 (pictured below) which was found abandoned early in the morning on July 24, 2010 on Enterprise Way in Louis Creek, near Barriere.
At the time of his disappearance, police say Robinson was 40-years-old, standing about five-feet-ten inches and weighing about 105 kg. He had brown hair and blue eyes.
“The Chase RCMP remains dedicated in determining what happened to Shayne,” said Sgt. Barry Kennedy, the Chase RCMP Detachment Commander. “We hope to be able to offer Shayne’s loved one’s answers to the questions they have carried with them for a decade now.”
Anyone who has information about Robinson’s disappearance, or about the grey Dodge Ram truck are asked to either call their local police, Chase RCMP, or Crime Stoppers.
