Kamloops RCMP say the trio of house fires in Rayleigh yesterday are not believed to be related.
Police and Kamloops firefighters responded to a house fire at 4831 Aspen Park Drive around 2:45 p.m., which later spread to the house next door. There were no injuries according to Staff Sgt. Sascha Fesenko, echoing a statement from Assistant Fire Chief Robb Schoular.
“At this time the cause of the fire is still under investigation and police remain on scene,” he said in a statement on Saturday morning.
About 30 minutes after the first fires, there was a report of another house fire in Rayleigh, two blocks away on Reighmount Drive. Fesenko says there were no injuries here as well as both occupants were able to get out of their home.
“Fire Investigators attended the scene and determined that the fire was not suspicious,” he added.
RCMP are asking anyone with information about the fire on Aspen Park Drive to contact them at 250-828-3000.
