Libraries in Kamloops and across the Thompson-Nicola Regional District have reopened to the public following a lengthy five month COVID-19 closure.
All visits will be limited to 60 minutes a day, with internet use restricted to 45 minutes. There will be limits on the number of people allowed inside each location, with no washroom access or food and drink allowed inside.
The TNRD says libraries may on occasion be closed early so staff can clean inside to prevent the spread of the virus.
As well it notes the takeout service will continue for the foreseeable future, but people will be able to physically pick up their books and self-checkout as before. As for returning items, people are asked to do so using the outside drop slot prior to entering the library.
