Two people have been arrested after being caught trying to steal parts from a minivan in broad daylight on a main road in Lytton.
Southeast District RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says a resident of Lytton watched the suspects use a power saw to try and cut under the hood of a Honda Odyssey minivan. That happened in clear daylight on August 22, at 2:45 p.m. on Main Street.
O’Donaghey says the witness confronted the two suspects who drove off. They were then arrested without incident after being stopped just south of town.
Charges are being recommended against a 38-year-old man from Madeira Park, on the Sunshine Coast, and a 50-year-old woman from Coquitlam.
Anyone with further details is being asked to call Lytton RCMP.
