Police in B.C. say a woman is dead after a crash near Sun Peaks late yesterday night, September 14.
RCMP Traffic Services spokesman Cpl. Mike Halskov says the crash happened along Heffley-Louis Creek Road at about 11:30 p.m., noting that officers from the Kamloops Rural RCMP were at the scene.
“The female driver died at the scene,” Halskov said. “There was an infant in the vehicle, however found uninjured and in the care of family.”
At this time, police have not ruled out impairment and the lack of seatbelt use as potential contributing factors into the woman’s death.
Halskov says Central Interior Traffic Services in Kamloops is continuing to investigate.
