A threat made against Barriere Secondary School today was found to be not credible.

“The Barriere RCMP, in conjunction with outside specialized units, conducted a thorough investigation into threats made earlier today,” said a statement on the school website. “They have deemed them to not be credible at this time.”

“We value the cooperation of our staff, students and families as our primary goal is the safety of our school community.”

The school was put on a hold and secure around 10:40 a.m. today after two threatening phone calls were made. Due to the close proximity of Barriere Elementary School, students there were also put on a hold and secure.
