The BC NDP will be naming its candidate tomorrow morning for the Kamloops-South Thompson.
That will happen at 10 a.m. Whoever that person is, will oppose BC Liberal candidate Todd Stone and BC Greens candidate Dan Hines in the riding.
In 2017, Stone was elected to a second term in the riding, earning 56 per cent of the vote. He beat out NDP candidate Nancy Bepple (21 per cent of the vote) and Green candidate Donovan Cavers (20 per cent).
Before Bepple, the NDP fielded Tom Friedman as its candidate in the Kamloops-South riding in 2009 and 2013.
On Monday, the New Democrats named Kamloops councillor Sadie Hunter as the candidate for the Kamloops North-Thompson. She will oppose incumbent Liberal candidate Peter Milobar and Green candidate Thomas Martin.
