A Kamloops curling power couple is being featured in the annual ‘Curling Cares Calendar’ for charity.
Erin Pincott and Matt Dunstone – both national level curlers – are on the cover of the 2021 calendar, which has been known to expose a little skin. Its something the reserved Pincott knows is a little out of the ordinary for her.
“I can’t say it’s something that’s super within my own comfort zone, I’m usually happy to be on the ice and not in the spotlight. It’s a chance for us curlers to showcase our personalities a little bit while raising money for charities of our choice,” she told NL Sports.
Pincott is the third on the Kamloops Corryn Brown rink which made its first appearance at the Scotties earlier this year in Moose Jaw.
“The cover on the photo isn’t really risqué per se, but maybe our featured month – April – would be along those lines,” Pincott added.
Matt Dunstone meanwhile is featured shirtless on the cover alongside Pincott. The Team Saskatchewan bronze medal winning skip at the 2020 Brier says it’s an exciting feeling and a chance to have a little fun in the process.
The calendar is now available online here for $34.95, and promo code ErinMatt2021 will get you a $5 discount. Calendars will begin shipping in the first week of November.
Since 2014, the various Curling Cares calendars have raised over $600,000 for multiple charities and causes. Pincott and Dunstone are directing their share of fundraising dollars to Alzheimer Society of British Columbia.
