UPDATE:
BC Hydro says power is back on for people in Valleyview, Dallas, Campbell Creek and Barnhartvale.
An outage was reported at about 10 a.m. for about 4,000 customers but power was restored just before noon.
The cause was not immediately listed, but the outage happened as Kamloops experienced gusting winds. Gusts are expected to be up to 50 kilometres per hour in Kamloops until late this afternoon.
