The BC CDC says someone onboard a WestJet flight from Calgary to Kamloops earlier this month had a confirmed case of COVID-19.
The unidentified passenger was on flight WS3111 which touched down in the Tournament Capital on Saturday, Nov. 7. It is unclear when this person tested positive for the virus.
People who were in rows one through six may be at higher risk of infection. Passengers are being asked to self-monitor and get tested for COVID-19 if symptoms like a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or a loss of sense of taste or smell begin to develop.
You can take the COVID-19 self assessment test here. To book a test, you’re asked to call your primary care provider or the closest Interior Health community testing and assessment centre.
This is the fourth flight into Kamloops with a confirmed case of the virus on board, and the third since Sept. 16. You’ll find a full list of all domestic travel-related COVID-19 exposures on the BC CDC website.
