The BC Centre for Disease Control says someone onboard an Air Canada flight from Vancouver to Kamloops earlier this month had a confirmed case of COVID-19.
While it is being reported today, the unidentified passenger was on flight AC 8194 which touched down in the Tournament Capital on Friday, Nov. 6. It is unclear when they tested positive for the virus.
People who were in rows three through seven may be at higher risk of infection, and passengers are being asked to self-monitor and get tested for COVID-19 if symptoms like a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or a loss of sense of taste or smell begin to develop.
You can take the COVID-19 self assessment test here. To book a test, you’re asked to call your primary care provider or the closest Interior Health community testing and assessment centre.
This is the fifth flight into Kamloops with a confirmed case of the virus on board, and the second reported in two days, the fourth since Sept. 16.
You’ll find a full list of all domestic travel-related COVID-19 exposures on the BC CDC website.
