Highway 12 will be closed overnight in Lytton bectause of a water main break, according to Drive BC.

The closure was first reported at about 3:15 p.m., because of the water main break at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 12 in the village.

Drive BC says drivers can use a local detour at the north entrance of the village. According to contractors on scene, the detour will add approximately 10 minutes more to the trip for people driving through the Fraser Canyon today.

Another update is expected to come at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
