Kamloops RCMP say neighbours of a North Shore home that was destroyed by fire over the weekend reported power surges around the time it happened.
It happened at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday in the 200-block of Willow Street.
Sgt. Darren Michels says everyone inside the home got out safely and no one was hurt.
Michels says the official cause is still being investigated.
Police also said in the hours after the fire happened this past weekend that it was not suspicious in nature.
The home was the site of a targeted drive-by shooting on Oct. 1, where no one was hurt after a bullet was shot into the home. That incident led to 34-year-old David Tremblay being arrested and charged with attempted murder two days later.
Anyone with information about the fire over the weekend is now asked to call Kamloops RCMP, at 250-828-3000.
