A Kamloops small business owner is calling it a Christmas miracle. Nearly one year after someone broke in and stole a rare bass guitar from Riversong Guitars, it’s been returned.
Owner Mike Miltimore says a regular customer called him on Monday to say he bought it off of somebody, and then returned to the store.
It had been stolen on Dec. 27, 2019, and Miltimore said it was worth about $6,000.
“I said all along that this is going to be a hard thing to keep quiet, whoever stole this, because there’s only two of them out there. Hedley bassist Tommy MacDonald has the other one. And this was it.”
Miltimore says the person who returned it wants to stay anonymous, but he says that person has been given a store credit for what they paid for it.
“So that he’s not out, we’re not out. I don’t know who broke into our shop, but I’m really, really happy. And it’s a Christmas miracle.”
