Kamloops RCMP are looking for suspects after two men tried to steal a woman’s car while she was sleeping inside of it.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says it happened at 2:25 a.m. today on Kokanee Way, when the woman woke up to a man saying he was stealing her car.
Evelyn says the woman fought back and was assaulted, but managed to break free before driving off. She says the two men drove off in a older-model Chrysler K car, which was black, tan or gold with a flat back window, according to the woman.
One of the suspects is described as being in his twenties and six-feet tall. He was skinny, clean-shaven with pock-marked skin and possibly Aboriginal, according to the witness description, and was wearing a black baseball cap with a flat black brim.
Evelyn says no description was provided for the second man.
Anyone with details on the incident is asked to call Kamloops RCMP and reference file number 21-1121.
