There were 509 new cases of COVID-19 reported in B.C. today, as well as nine new deaths.

That includes 86 new cases in Interior Health, and IH has reported two deaths today at a long-term care home in Vernon, at Heritage Square.

Meanwhile, IH reports 13 new cases associated with a cluster at Big White Ski Resort, bringing the total there to 175. Thirty-two of those cases are active.

No update has been provided today on the outbreak of COVID-19 at the Canim Lake Band, which as of Wednesday had 44 total cases.

There are now 4,604 active cases province-wide, and 349 people in hospital, and now 68 people in intensive care.

Meantime, there have now been just under 76,000 people vaccinated against COVID-19 province wide.
