MTV Documentary Films is making “76 Days,” a look at the frontline workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan, available for free this Saturday and you can support the Kamloops Film Society just by watching it.
Executive Director Dusan Magdolen says it is a really good opportunity for the organization.
“Everyone who signs up and watches it for free and puts us down, that is the Kamloops Film Society, we’ll get $5 from that,” he said. “So you watch the film for free and the Kamloops Film society gets $5.”
“If we can get 1,000 people to watch a great documentary that won audience awards about the COVID pandemic in Wuhan, so sort of the initial lockdown is what’s it’s about, we can make pretty good money off of that in a time when we’re not getting any revenue at all.”
You can watch “76 Days” on Jan. 23 through Virtual Cinema with MTV Documentary Films.
The movie was filmed in four Wuhan hospitals and tells stories about working on the frontlines of the novel coronavirus pandemic. It explores the tragedy of losing loved ones and the challenges that come with being a health care worker during the initial 76 day lockdown.
